CHALLENGE

The legal profession in India is traditionally fragmented. Through our initial research with practicing lawyers, we discovered a recurring pain point: practitioners were losing significant billable hours toggling between separate tools for research, drafting, meeting notes, and court calendars.

The legal profession in India is traditionally fragmented. Through our initial research with practicing lawyers, we discovered a recurring pain point: practitioners were losing significant billable hours toggling between separate tools for research, drafting, meeting notes, and court calendars.

APPROACH

Working alongside a UX researcher, we conducted deep-dive interviews with various legal profiles. We didn't just look at features; we looked at the linear progression of a case.

Every core feature was stress-tested by lawyers. This feedback loop led to our most significant pivot: moving away from an external Word plugin to a robust, in-product drafting environment to ensure data security and context-awareness.

Lawyers can query complex legal precedents, pull relevant clauses from their own Document Storage, and cross-reference current acts from the Legal Library. The goal was to eliminate "tab-switching" fatigue, allowing users to build a bulletproof case by synthesizing multiple data sources into a single, coherent research thread.

We reimagined drafting as a fluid dialogue between the practitioner and the platform. By initiating a discovery session, the AI probes for case nuances, pulling pre-validated clauses that can be manually refined or auto-assembled. An integrated co-pilot then allows users to restyle prose and conduct localized research within a single interface.
